Current and Planned Projects in the Region:

• Collaborative botanical surveys of protected areas in Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and São Tomé.
• Identification and conservation of mountain sanctuaries in Gabon's Massif du Chaillu and Monts de Cristal.
• Orchid diversity and conservation research.
• Botanical training for regional botanists, students, and technicians.
• Ethno-ecology in Gabon's Batéké Plateaux

In order to achieve these goals, MBG's Central Africa Program has decided to collaborate with in-country partners and NGOs on a variety of projects.
