Found in Maprounea africana Muell.- Arg (Euphorbiaceae) originally collected in Park Manovo-Gounda-St. Floris in the vicinity of Camp Koumbala in May of 1987 (Fay 8002).

Activity

The koumbalones were isolated from an organic extract that exhibited activity in the NCI's primary anti-HIV screen.
