MICHELLAMINE B

Source Plant

Michellamine B was isolated from a sample of Ancistrocladus korupensis D. W. Thomas & Gereau (Ancistrocladaceae), a newly described species of liana originally collected in the region of Korup National Park in Cameroon in 1987 (Thomas 6889).

Activity

Michellamine B has exhibited significant in vitro activity against HIV-1 and HIV-2.
